ISO 15189 and ISO 15190 Certified Clinical Laboratory
Bangkok — On 17 August 2022, the management team of MedPark Hospital, led by Prof. Dr. Sinn Anuras and Dr. Pongpat Patanavanich, welcomed Dr. Supakit Sirilak, Director-General of the Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health, on the occasion of presenting the ISO 15189 and ISO 15190 certifications to MedPark’s clinical laboratory.
ISO 15189 is an internationally recognized standard that assesses the quality management and competency of clinical laboratories, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results. ISO 15190 is a laboratory safety standard that safeguards the well-being of laboratory personnel and protects the surrounding environment.
Dr. Visitsak Suksa-ardphasu, Laboratory Manager at MedPark Hospital, stated, “Our medical laboratory provides comprehensive services encompassing the Surgical Pathology Laboratory and the Clinical Pathology Laboratory. We utilize state-of-the-art instruments and the latest technologies to achieve rapid turnaround times, reducing the waiting period for test results and expediting the diagnostic process.
Moreover, our laboratory is committed to social responsibility and academic advancement. We support medical education by accepting clinical laboratory technology students from various institutions for pre-graduation training. We are also a certified institution authorized to conduct training and Continuing Medical Technology Education activities, enabling participants to earn credits for professional license renewal.
