Influenza and dengue fever are seasonal diseases that recur annually and may have multiple outbreaks within a calendar year. Their severity ranges from mild to life-threatening, leading to complications and fatal outcomes.
A concerning aspect of influenza is that an infected individual can transmit the virus one day before symptoms appear and continue to spread it for up to five days after symptom onset. Individuals with weakened immune systems may remain contagious for an extended period.
In contrast, dengue fever is transmitted exclusively through bites from infected Aedes mosquitoes and does not spread from person to person. However, a person can contract dengue more than once, as there are four distinct strains of the virus. Complete immunity is only achieved after exposure to all four strains.
Although these diseases may seem alarming, influenza and dengue fever are preventable with vaccines, which can reduce severity and hospitalization rates, making annual influenza immunization highly beneficial.
- Quadrivalent influenza vaccine: Confers protection against influenza viruses type A and B.
- Dengue vaccine: Offers 80.2% protection against dengue fever and reduces hospitalization risk by 90.4%. It is approved for individuals aged four and above without requiring a pre-vaccination antibodies test.

- The vaccination will be administered by doctors or registered nurses of MedPark Hospital only. Vaccination at home or other medical centers is not allowed.
- The package cannot be changed or exchanged for cash under any circumstances.
