Cardiology Center
Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of global death, claiming the lives of 17.9 million people annually, accounting for approximately 32% of worldwide fatalities. In Thailand alone, over seventy thousand deaths are attributed to cardiovascular disease annually. The mortality rate exhibits an upward trend each year across all age groups. On average, two individuals succumb to cardiovascular disease every hour.
The Cardiology Center at MedPark Hospital recognizes the significance of preserving cardiovascular health. To this end, we have assembled a team of accomplished teaching faculty from noted medical schools and comprised multidisciplinary teams of specialists with expertise in the following disciplines:
Top of Form
- Cardiovascular medicine
- Cardiothoracic surgery
- Pediatric Cardiology
- Cardiovascular and thoracic surgery anesthesiologist
- Heart Radiography with Electromagnetic Wave Computer tomography
- Cardiac rehabilitation
- Dietetics
- Cardiovascular Disease Nursing Specialists
Our multidisciplinary team of physicians and staff is committed to providing treatment to patients seeking the expertise of experienced practitioners with a proven track record of managing complex and challenging diseases. The center is outfitted with advanced medical instruments capable of simultaneously administering a range of treatment modalities. Moreover, we consistently update our medical technology to safeguard well-being, enhance the quality of life, and promote longevity for our patients.
Why Cardiology at MedPark Hospital?
- Internationally renowned cardiovascular specialists collaborate seamlessly with an experienced team of multidisciplinary staff and physicians, fostering genuine cooperation. This collaborative approach empowers patients to seek second opinions from other cardiologists, ensuring personalized treatment options that align with individual lifestyles and enhance the quality of life post-treatment.
- Our surgeons boast a record of success in treating a wide range of complex and challenging cases of cardiovascular diseases. Examples include complex coronary artery disease, aortic aneurysm (without open heart surgery), and chronic total occlusion (treated with balloon angioplasty). After treatment, patients experience improved health, enabling them to lead a joyful and extended life with their families.
- The center features a dedicated pathway designed for the optimal benefit of patients. This pathway connects consultation rooms with intervention rooms on the 9th floor, facilitating immediate treatment during the critical golden period.
- The center employs highly efficient medical tools and technology, including hybrid operating rooms with the Artis Icono biplane angiography system. This system enables simultaneous intravascular intervention and surgery, particularly suitable for complex procedures requiring combined and continuous treatment. This streamlined approach saves time and eliminates hassles associated with patient transport, resulting in the most effective treatment outcomes.
- The medical staff at the Cardiology Center undergo regular training at the Simulation Center, honing their potential and refining their skills to be prepared for any conceivable situation.
