Weight Loss Pen (Liraglutide Injection)

Weight Loss Pen, or Liraglutide Injection, is a US-FDA-approved medication to promote weight loss. It helps to decrease appetite and often use in combination with exercise and dietary changes.

Liraglutide is an analog of Glucagon-like peptide -1 that acts as a GLP-1 receptor agonist in the digestive system. It can reduce blood sugar and inhibit stomach movement, so people who use it do not feel hungry for longer.

How to Use Weight Loss Pen

  • Read the instruction carefully before use.
  • Inject the Liraglutide before or after a meal once a day on your upper leg, stomach, or shoulder.
  • Do not take it more often than instructed.
  • Do not share your weight loss pen with others.
  • In Liraglutide prescription to children as young as 12, you, as a parent, must understand how to use it properly.

How to Store Weight Loss Pen

  • Keep the unopened pen refrigerated between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius. Do not store in a freezer or use medication that is frozen.
  • Store opened pen at room temperature (15-30 degrees Celsius).
  • Always remove the needle after use to prevent leakage.
  • Throw away the opened pen after 30 days or expiration date, whichever comes first.
  • Avoid exposure to light and excessive heat.
  • Keep out of children’s reach.

Precautions

  • Drink plenty of water when using the Weight Loss Pen.
  • If you feel nauseous, vomit, or have severe diarrhea, seek medical attention.
  • Look out for sudden changes in mood and emotion, such as anxiety, panic, irritation, hostility, aggression, difficulty sleeping, and hyperactivity. Consult your doctor if you develop these symptoms when starting the medication or changing the dose.
  • Women who plan to get pregnant or think they may be pregnant should not use the Weight Loss Pen as it can harm the fetus.
  • Not suitable for patients with medullary thyroid cancer, pancreatic cancer, and pancreatitis. Type I diabetes having insulin resistance must use the weight loss pen cautiously and under close supervision.
