Who Should Consider a Bone Mineral Density Test?

• Women aged 65 and older
• Men aged 70 and older
• Individuals at increased risk of osteoporosis include those with a family history of osteoporosis, a history of fractures from minor accidents, and habitual smoking or regular alcohol consumption.
• Individuals with pre-existing conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, kidney disease, and thyroid disorders.

Preparations Before the Examination

1. For Bone Mineral Density (BMD) Testing
   • Fasting is not required; you may eat and drink as usual.
   • The procedure takes approximately 15–20 minutes.
2. For Body Composition Analysis
   • Refrain from eating for at least 4 hours before the test. Drinking plain water is permitted.
   • Avoid alcoholic beverages for at least 48 hours before the test.
   • Abstain from exercise for at least 12 hours before the examination.
   • The procedure takes approximately 20–30 minutes.
3. Postpone the test if you have undergone a barium study within the past 7 days or have recently had an imaging test involving contrast media or nuclear medicine scans within the past 1–2 days.
4. Despite minimal radiation exposure with this test, it is not recommended for pregnant women. If you are pregnant or suspect you may be pregnant, please postpone the examination.

2. The price includes the doctor, outpatient nursing service, and hospital service fees.
3. The price cannot be combined with other discounts or promotional offers, or billed for reimbursement through insurance companies or contracted partners.
4. The price does not include medications or additional investigations the doctor may recommend should abnormalities be detected.
5. The price does not cover the cost of treatment for pre-existing conditions or medical complications.
6. This price applies solely to the designated program and cannot be modified, combined with other discounts, or exchanged for cash.
7. The price is valid for Thai nationals and expatriates residing in Thailand only.
